Things that go boom in the night....

So, does anyone else out there live downtown? Has anyone else noticed the two extremely loud booms that have caused my building to shake in the past hour? The last one made me think the rapture had happened and it was time to head to glory! Anybody know what's up? Perhaps I should call Mrs. Peacock and see if she knows...
